6 Thinking Hats Theory (Increase Productivity of Your Thought)
I suddenly come up with new idea after reading one of interesting article about 6 thinking hats theory (by Edward de Bono) which is able to change team mind-set & individual thinking toward how to increase productivity of the meeting & outputs.
What do you think if your boss invites you to WEAR HAT before attending TODAY MTG.... and your boss need everyone has to share their ideas wisely...
Example 1, you boss say TODAY meeting, we will wear GREEN HAT (think only Creativity Idea) to discuss with how to create the PRICE MAP system (without using excel file, no PPT, but any crazy idea is fine how to create a regional price map template among SEA region). With the objective of this MTG focus only the creativity idea that everyone has to share their idea (no any destructive idea) that may lead to a NEW & INNOVATIVE IDEA :D
100 SGD Voucher from my ex-Big Boss.. This idea brought me to buy Sony XBA S65 |
With above examples, I think 6 Thinking Hats is one of interesting & useful training course for all SONY staffs to learn & adapt in order to change their mindsets, and also enhance a new culture of productivity idea sharing during meeting (Since we have so many meetings to attend, but most of us spend time for checking mails rather than sharing our idea during meeting)
Of course, I think 6 thinking hats can help your team to improve their team productivity & innovative idea sharing.

PS. Six Thinking Hats is a book by Edward de Bono. The term Six Thinking Hats is also used to describe the tool for group discussion and individual thinking that is the subject of the book. Each hat has a different meaning.
- Information: (White) - considering purely what information is available, what are the facts?
- Emotions (Red) - intuitive or instinctive gut reactions or statements of emotional feeling (but not any justification)
- Bad points judgement (Black) - logic applied to identifying flaws or barriers, seeking mismatch
- Good points judgement (Yellow) - logic applied to identifying benefits, seeking harmony
- Creativity (Green) - statements of provocation and investigation, seeing where a thought goes
- Conclusion (Blue) - conclude & summarize each hat key point for further action
Yes, I will start to think with 6 thinks hats before making a decision, I do believe I will see another idea or opinion in another angle from myself :)
